One of only three radio stations on the Island, Vectis Radio is a community radio station primarily serving the islands residential and business community. They also have a charitable arm having run their training school 4PS - mainly for underprivileged kids for the last 10 years.
As well as winning a Gold for Best Community Radio Station of the Year at the ARIAS Awards in 2023 Vectis Radio also hosts it's own Vectis Radio Community awards each year.
Vectis Radio is available across the Isle of Wight and even parts of Southampton and Portsmouth. Next year they switch to DAB meaning an even bigger jump in both coverage and listeners. You can listen by tuning in, downloading the app, online and even on hospedia system at St Mary's.

On Air Advertising.
Your 30 second promotion will be played 6 times per day and a further 6 times during the evening (8pm - 7am). You can supply the content yourself or in some cases we can help you.

Sponsorship.
If you feel the audience you wish to target may have a preference for certain regular programs on Vectis Radio why not sponsor that segment? You would get at least 3 mentions per hour (segment) at the start of the show and around the news and weather. Minimum 3 month booking. Contact us for a list of shows available for sponsorship.

Outdoor Broadcast From Your Venue.
Why not have Vectis Radio spend the day at your venue and broadcast the show from there?
Plenty of mentions all day and perhaps some of your key staff dropping by for a chat too?. This is very much a big hit marketing option ideal for new businesses or those seeking a marketing boost. It may also be a great precursor to a longer promotional campaign. On an average weekend outside broadcast Vectis Radio could be live from your venue from say 10am to 4pm. They can edit the days content to create a reusable podcast for you.
Cost is £750 (per day/broadcast)

Payment and Invoicing.
Payment is invoiced (and due) on commencement of the campaign. On 6 and 12 month campaigns they can invoice you quarterly OR you can reduce the cost by 15% if you pay in full on commencement.

Copy Spec
You Supply - advert copy (usually 30 secs) would be supplied as a MP3 file. You would need to ensure you had the correct permissions etc if including music.
Vectis Radio Create - you supply them with a script and they, working with professional island companies, will produce the advert for you. They can use licensed music from their own library if required. Cost start from just £30 and you can use the finished advert elsewhere.

As a community radio station Vectis Radio have recently been allowed to increase the limited amount of advertising revenue they can receive. Current advertisers and sponsors now include Red Funnel, Wightfibre, Willy's Guitar Shop, Triple A Records, Island Environmental Hygiene, Wight Military Museum, PC Consultants, Renodrain, Newport Golf Club, Green IOW and Go Internet.
